You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf – Jon Kabat-Zinn
I am Silke, a mom, wife, daughter, sister, a dreamer and a doer; I am a runner and an introvert; I am an immigrant and I am a traveler; I am excited by possibility and I do see nothing as black and white. I am passionate about people and their potential.
My path is not straight and I know yours is not either. I am curious and happy to walk with you for a while to discover yourself and how you work. The basis of my work is to create a space from where to grow. This space is created through mindfulness, mindful practices, and kind curiosity.
Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and the surrounding environment.
Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.
